The artwork during the cutscenes is really nice.The rest is♥♥♥♥♥♥Worst Painkiller game ever made.3/10. After all those great painkiller games, I didn't expect it to become that much better! I LOVE the Co-op story line, it was great, fun and sometimes even scary. The game plays well, The graphics are done well. The Weapons do have alot of detail, In my opinion they've the best detail in the painkiller franchise. There also are 4 new weapons, and 3 new chapters. This game is worth full price and it's even worth twice that if you got a co-op partner!. Let me list the reasons nobody likes this game: 1. technical issues- lighting is awful, collision? what's that?, hitboxes range from small to large with no consistency, fatal error when going into demon mode, fatal error when loading within the last 20 minutes, fatal error on a fatal error (i\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665you not), and no amount of bug fixing can fix this. 2. weapons- slower than previous games, weaker than previous games, one new weapon in ONLY levels 5 and 6 (so you'll never get to use it). 3. story- it's bad, voice "acting" is atrocious and Bill is a hitman that goes to hell because he kills people and must go through and *zzzzzzz* 4. you can't win the tarot cards without cheating- because enemies will frequently not drop souls nor can you find all the gold pieces cause they're out of the map. Reasons to get this: never if you do get this cause you hate yourself things that won't make you vomit: soundtrack is good (so youtube it), powermod for this makes the game a bit better (pkcards so all cards and pkweapons so you can use the new gun through the whole game), and the atmosphere is good.overall: 2\/10 one of the worst games i've ever played with powermod: 4\/10 still bad but at least playable.. Okay, let me gat this straight - this is not a good game to play. Damn, it is barely playable at all - loading goes for 10 minutes (versus 1-2 in the original game), sometimes game freezes and slows down. Some triggers don't want to work and you have to run around for another hour to find some little zombie behind some door. Design goes from quite cool to disgracefully awful and gameplay is just ruined - but hey, there is still a good side. Developers had a great idea of making maps REALLY BIG, so somehow I had a feeling of open-world. This is really cool. But technically this game is hell in all aspects, so I don't think that you want it.. This game is awful. Level design is horrendous and filled with many bugs. I often find myself not knowing where to go as the levels this time around are hugeee. Sometimes I wander around aimlessly, only to stand at a specific point to trigger the next wave of enemies. Another thing that irritates me is how everything seems to be randomly put together. The enemies in the levels from the original and Overdose fit well with the environment, however in this one they do not. Avoid like the plague.. Mention the original Painkiller to any devotee and watch as their eyes light up, their bodies start to animate wildly and a wellspring of jovial passion cascades over their speech of loving admiration. After this moving testimony, ask for their thoughts on Painkiller: Resurrection and recoil in horror as all emotion abandons them and the blood drains from their face, leaving behind a vacant and pale visage while they recount sickening tales of a game permeated with bugs, crashes, dull levels that confusingly branch out and twist on for miles; giving the illusion of freedom, when really every path except one leads to dead ends, more bugs, crashes, pointless excursions with no reward. Ceaseless enemy hordes that offer no challenge, consume exorbitant amounts of time and spawn inside of the walls, the floors, the ceilings, and every other nook and cranny, so long as it isn't in the playable space. Scouring for ammo constantly, in order to defeat bosses possessing a ridiculous number of health points, who never hit you once because the developers forgot to program in some decent AI. As more and more energy is expended detailing the atrocities of Painkiller: Resurrection, you can feel your soul gradually leaving your body and you have to end the tirade. It's the sinister feeling all Painkiller fans know too well.The second this bloated corpse was resurrected, it should have been buried deep in the earth, never mentioned of again.2/10. Welcome to my review of Painkiller : Resurrection .... ugghhh - TL:DR I don't recommend it to anyone, if you looking for an FPS this is not the place for you - the game is filled with bugs, questionable designs, and many bugs. The ony way i will be able to recommend it if you are like hardcore Painkiller fan, and just want to kill more monster in a different setting.Story: The story is bland, you are a killer, but at your last job when you are killing gansters, you accidently kill a lot of innocent people and you go to purgatory. You meet different characters, and the cutscenes have their charm if you like Max Payne ones. To give the game credit, you get a different ending if you beat it on Trauma, and if you collect all the cards.Gameplay: Its the tradional PK thing, you are in a area - kill all monster to proceed. But there is ONE problem, and i mean BIG. The levels are huge, maybe like 2 or 3 levels big, and you constantly get lost, and don't know where to go - because the level desing is horrible. There are like 6 levels in the game, and every will take you from 40 to 1 hour and more!Graphics: The graphics were slightly improved the from the original - but most of the levels are quite ugly, and the game lags and loads levels super long. I have a GTX970 and i get loading times like 2 or 3 min, while in the original - like 20 sec max.Conclusion: Don't buy the game, even if its on sale, you may like it at first, but for every one thing you like,there is like 3 thing that you will hate. I passed it once, and felt like it was a chore to do - and that's comming from a guy who will play Painkiller Black Edition - any time of the year.. This version of Painkiller takes a complete different spin; rather than have several small lineair levels, it instead has 6 huge explorable levels. While this brings a new element of exploration to the game, it can also lead to confusion as to where to go next as it can be difficult to know in which direction to go at times.. Coop enabled but is very buggy, pretty close to black but the movement is much slower. Play Painkiller black.
